Routine invasive vs selective invasive strategy in elderly patients older than 75 years with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Mayo Clinic Proceedings Feb 15, 2018
Garg A, et al. - This study was performed to assess outcomes of routine invasive strategy (RIS) compared with selective invasive strategy (SIS) in elderly patients older than 75 years with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS). Compared to SIS, RIS was found to be superior for the composite endpoint [death or myocardial infarction (MI)], primarily driven by reduced risk of MI in elderly patients older than 75 years with NSTE-ACS.
