Rotavirus infection as a frequent cause of neonatal fever

Kang HN, et al. - The purpose of this research was to analyze if rotavirus(RV) infection was a major cause of the neonatal fever. A comparative assessment was also conducted of the clinical characteristics of bacterial infections, viral infections and unknown causes of neonatal fever. Findings illustrated that RV infection was the most common single cause of neonatal fever. The inclusion of stool RV tests could be required for febrile newborns.
