McGuire C, et al. - Researchers conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis (5 studies comprising 332 patients) investigating the role of tranexamic acid in diminishing intraoperative blood loss and postoperative edema and ecchymosis among patients undergoing primary elective rhinoplasty. As per findings, a significant reduction in intraoperative blood loss and postoperative edema and ecchymosis could be achieved among patients undergoing primary elective rhinoplasty via tranexamic acid administration.
