Nama V, et al. - Researchers here quantify the number of patients who would avoid external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) in their institution on adoption of a protocol of lymphadenectomy to tailor adjuvant EBRT and its impact on cost and quality of life. Findings revealed that with reduced cost to NHS, systematic lymphadenectomy with tailored adjuvant therapy could result in better QoL. In addition, it showed no reduction in overall survival.
