Role of Beclin1 expression in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma: A meta-analysis
OncoTargets and Therapy May 05, 2018
Liang C, et al. - In order to determine the correlation between Beclin1 and its clinicopathological and prognostic values in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), researchers analyzed data from relevant published articles identified from PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, EMBASE, Chinese CNKI, and Chinese WanFang databases. This meta-analysis included 11 articles with 1,279 patients. Positive Beclin1 expression was found to be negatively associated with alpha fetoprotein, liver cirrhosis, and vascular invasion in HCC. Beclin1 could serve as a prognostic biomarker for HCC.
