Molecular Carcinogenesis Sep 16, 2017

This study suggested the important role of ALDH1 in tumor aggressiveness, and ALDH1 appeared to link with a tumor-promoting microenvironment in esophageal cancer. For the treatment of ESCC, directly targeting ALDH1 or using a COX-2 inhibitor could be a promising strategy.
