Gao S, et al. - This study assessed robot-assisted technique vs. conventional freehand technique for pedicle screw insertion, via a systematic review and meta-analysis based on randomized controlled trials. The evidence demonstrated that robot-assisted technique vs. freehand technique was associated with equivalent accuracy rate of pedicle screw implantation, fewer proximal facet joint violation, less intraoperative radiation exposure but longer surgical duration.
