Su MH, et al. - The associations between personality traits and suicidal ideation (SI) and attempt (SA) in mood disorder patients and community controls were investigated in this study. Regardless of the diagnosis status, introvert personality traits demonstrated independent risk effects on suicidality. Higher neuroticism tendency was further correlated with increased risk of suicide attempt among high-risk individuals with suicidal thoughts.
