Risk prediction of post-hepatectomy liver failure in patients with perihilar cholangiocarcinoma

Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Aug 30, 2017

Lee EC, et al. – The clinicians developed a prediction model for post–hepatectomy liver failure (PHLF) in patients with perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (PHCC). In patients with PHCC, this model accurately predicted PHLF. This gave surgeons a practical guide to quantitative risk assessment of hepatic insufficiency and supported decision–making in surgical treatment and perioperative management.
