Risk of seizures after immunization in children with epilepsy: A risk interval analysis
BMC Pediatrics Apr 18, 2018
Top KA, et al. - The risk of medically attended seizure after immunization was investigated in children with epilepsy < 7 years of age in Nova Scotia, Canada from 2010 to 2014. It was determined that children with immunizations had more seizures compared to those with no immunizations or those with no records. Findings demonstrated that children with epilepsy did not cause an increased risk of medically attended seizure following immunization. Therefore, immunization was discovered to be safe in children with epilepsy, with benefits outweighing risks.
