Risk of incident chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in rheumatoid arthritis: A population-based cohort study

McGuire K, et al. - A population-based cohort study was carried out to assess the risk of incident chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) hospitalization in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) compared to the general population. According to the outcome obtained, individuals with RA had a 47% greater risk of COPD hospitalization compared to the general population in this population-based cohort.
