Paskins Z, et al. - This trial entailed the quantification of the risk of fracture among patients with polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) and giant cell arteritis (GCA). As per the results, the persisting risk of fracture at 5 years and the higher risk of wrist fractures reported herein could be elucidated by an increase in falls observed during the study period. Findings unveiled a similar increase in fracture risk for patients with PMR and GCA.
