Data revealed a substantially increased rate of arterial and venous thrombosis in patients with MPNs across all age groups compared with matched control individuals. Highest rates were obtained at and shortly after diagnosis. It was also found that decreases in the rate of venous thrombosis over time possibly depicted advances in clinical management.
