Babala J, Zahradníková P, Béder I, et al. - In this retrospective analysis, researchers studied the frequency, etiology, and risk factors of postsurgery complications of thyroid cancer. The study sample consisted of patients treated for thyroid malignancies in years 2006-2018. Twenty-two patients with thyroid malignancy were identified over a period of 12 years. A significant association was found between postoperative complications and the presence of distant metastases. Favorable outcomes in children with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 syndrome have been noted.
