Infection Nov 01, 2018
He Q, et al. - Considering the adverse outcomes resulting from bloodstream infections (BSI) among liver transplantation (LT) recipients, researchers assessed the risk factors related to post-LT BSI via a meta-analysis. Analyzing 17 studies that included 4,410 recipients, they identified 11 risk factors: male recipient, ascites, model for end-stage liver disease score, Child–Pugh class C, operation time, incompatible blood type, operative blood loss, rejection, biliary complications, hemodialysis, and retransplantation.
