Risk factors for stress urinary incontinence recurrence after single-incision sling
Neurourology and Urodynamics Jan 22, 2018
Palmieri S, et al. - A determination was carried out of the risk factors for recurrence after single-incision slings (SIS) in women with pure stress urinary incontinence (SUI). The independent risk factors discovered were the SUI severity expressed with ICIQ-SF scores and low detrusor pressure at maximum flow. Nevertheless, only a trend was detected for reduced urethral mobility. It was determined that the preoperative assessment of symptoms and analysis of the urodynamics could play a crucial role in the improvement of preoperative counseling and in customizing surgical treatment.
