Maeda K, et al. - Researchers, herein, sought to determine the factors related to psychological and psychosomatic symptoms (PPS) that required medication among children hospitalized for the treatment of malignancies. The risk factors for PPS among children with malignancies were discovered to be older age at admission, undergoing haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), and subjects who were given opioids. Suitable preventive measures against PPS could be required for patients with these risk factors.
