Risk factors for low back pain: A population-based longitudinal study

Arthritis Care & Research Aug 03, 2018

Shiri R, et al. - Authors identified the risk factors for low back pain (LBP) and lumbar radicular pain and evaluated whether or not obesity and exposure to workload factors modified the impact of the leisure-time physical activity on LBP and lumbar radicular pain. The risk of LBP and lumbar radicular pain was increased by lifestyle and physical workloads. For LBP, walking and cycling may have a preventive potential. Increasing age led to a slight decline in the LBP, while an increase in lumbar radicular pain was seen with age.
