Ye H, et al. - Researchers performed this work to assess patient pain and discomfort following oculoplastic surgery performed under general anesthesia and to determine key factors associated with postoperative pain and discomfort. Following oculoplastic surgery, patients showed the tendency to experience postoperative pain and discomfort. While smoking history and prior surgery on the operative eye could be associated with postoperative pain, anxiety was found to be a risk factor for both postoperative pain and discomfort.
