Risk factors and racial disparities related to low maternal birth satisfaction with labor induction: A prospective, cohort study

Hamm RF, et al. - In view of the association of decreased birth satisfaction with labor induction, researchers investigated the factors that impact low birth satisfaction in labor induction and estimated racial disparities in birth satisfaction. They performed a cohort study of 330 women with term, singleton gestations undergoing labor induction at their institution from Jan 2018 to Jun 2018. Analysis revealed the black race, cesarean birth, and increasing labor length as risk factors for low birth satisfaction among women who underwent labor induction.
