Risk evaluation of new-onset atrial fibrillation complicating ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction: A comparison between GRACE and CHA2DS2-VASc scores
Clinical Interventions in Aging Jun 15, 2018
Luo JC, et al. - In this retrospective analysis of patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) without a history of atrial fibrillation, researchers compared Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) risk score (RS) to CHA2DS2-VASc score with respect to discrimination performance in the prediction of post-myocardial infarction (MI) new-onset atrial fibrillation (NOAF). Receiver operating characteristic curve analyses were carried out. They found that relative to the CHA2DS2-VASc score, GRACE RS displayed relatively high and had better diagnostic performance with respect to the prediction of post-MI NOAF.
