Hwang YJ, et al. - This prospective study was performed to assess the reversibility of atrophic gastritis and intestinal metaplasia by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication with long-term follow-up. For intestinal-type gastric cancer, H. pylori eradication could be a preventative strategy by regression of atrophic gastritis and intestinal metaplasia.
