Retrospective observational study on riboflavin prophylaxis in child and adolescent migraine
Pediatric Neurology Sep 30, 2020
Das R and Qubty W., et al. - Researchers conducted this retrospective observational study to assess the effectiveness of riboflavin in pediatric migraineurs. This investigation was conducted on 42 patients with migraine aged 6-18 years who were assessed from January to December 2019 at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX. Patients treated with riboflavin have a decline in the incidence of headache, utilization of acute medications, and missing school days. In addition, migraine intensity and duration was also lowered with riboflavin prophylaxis. In the treatment of pediatric migraine, riboflavin is recommended as a safe, inexpensive, and effective nutraceutical.
