Talati RK, et al. - An exploration was conducted of the keratoprosthesis (KPro) backplate material on visually significant retroprosthetic membrane (RPM) formation. Findings did not exhibit any notable reduction in RPM formation through titanium backplate KPros when compared to polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) backplate KPros in a case–control-matched setting.
