Retreatment of chronic hepatitis C patients who failed previous therapy with directly acting antivirals: A multicenter study

El Kassas M, Alboraie M, El Badry M, et al. - The efficacy of different DAAs regimens in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) was investigated among Egyptian patients who failed to attain SVR after their treatment with sofosbuvir based anti HCV therapy. In this retrospective observational multicenter study, they assessed 172 patients who failed to achieve SVR after treatment with SOF-based treatment regimen and were re-treated using different DAAs regimen. SOF/DCV/RBV, SOF/ r/PAR /OMB /RBV, SOF/DCV/SIM, SOF/LDV ± RBV or SIM/SOF were used in the re-treatment of the included patients. Outcomes revealed that among prior non reponders, retreatment with another DAAs was safe and effective and led to the achievement of 97.12% SVR12 rate.
