American Journal of Ophthalmology Jan 14, 2018
Parodi MB, et al. - This paper incorporated an investigation of the vascular abnormalities at superficial (SCP), deep (DCP) capillary plexuses and choriocapillaris (CC) in patients with Best vitelliform macular dystrophy (BVMD) via optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A). Prominent vascular impairment was exhibited among patients with BVMD at both superficial and deep retinal plexuses, associating with functional outcomes. The yielded data could improve knowledge regarding the pathogenesis and could assist in speculating BVMD treatment efficacy, especially at DCP.
