Resection or preservation of the metatarsal heads in rheumatoid forefoot surgery?: A randomised clinical trial

Schrier JC, et al. – This study compared the outcomes in patients who were treated surgically for severe rheumatoid forefoot deformity, using either metatarsal head (MTH) resecting technique or MTH preserving technique. Both the procedures showed no significant clinical difference and resulted in considerable improvement in pain and activity scores.
