Journal of Affective Disorders Jan 05, 2018
Kozel FA, et al. - This research was designed to examine whether repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) just prior to Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) would significantly improve the clinical outcome compared to sham rTMS prior to CPT in veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Compared to sham with CPT, the addition of rTMS to CPT produced significantly greater PTSD symptom reduction early in treatment. rTMS plus CPT group achieved a significantly greater improvement for up to 6 months.
