Repeat cesarean section in subsequent gestation of women from a birth cohort in Brazil
Reproductive Health Sep 01, 2017
Mascarello KC, et al. – The prevalence and related factors of repeat cesarean section in a cohort of Brazilian women who had a cesarean section in the first birth are depicted in this study. The outcome of this study suggests that in the first and in the subsequent delivery the ratio of cesarean sections is quite high. This high rate may compromise the reproductive future of the women who undergo consecutive cesarean sections with possible consequent complications. Changes in care policies for pregnant women ought to be implemented.
