Dumuid D, et al. - Researchers for the first time investigated the relationship between older adults’ reallocation of time among the time-use behaviours [moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), light physical activity, sedentary time and sleep] and markers of cardio-respiratory fitness, obesity and cardio-metabolic risk. Findings highlighted the significance of MVPA for health among older adults. This suggested the importance of the interventions to maintain MVPA, even without increasing it.
