Noh HM, et al. - The relationships between cognitive function and body composition among community-dwelling older adults were evaluated in this cross-sectional study. Among older women, higher fat mass and lean body mass were correlated with lower risk of cognitive impairment. These observations proposed that body fat and lean mass later in life could be beneficial for cognition.
