Wang W, et al. - This study sheds light on the link between resting heart rate (HR) and risk of incident atrial fibrillation (AF). High resting HR was found to be associated with higher AF risk in a middle-aged population. Also, increase in resting HR was also found to be related to higher AF risk, particularly in individuals without traditional AF risk factors.
