Relationship of hospital teaching status with in-hospital outcomes for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction
American Journal of Medicine Oct 19, 2017
Gupta T, et al. - Analysts compare reperfusion rates and in-hospital outcomes among patients hospitalized to teaching vs. non-teaching hospitals with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Patients admitted to teaching hospitals will probably receive reperfusion and have lower risk-adjusted in-hospital mortality after STEMI compared with those admitted to non-teaching hospitals. These outcomes recommend that hospital performance for STEMI continues to be better at teaching hospitals in the contemporary era.
