Yamaguchi S, et al. - This research work was planned to determine the association between the swallowing function and respiratory and phonatory functions. Through limiting laryngeal elevation, the respiratory and phonatory functions were considered as the risk factors of aspiration. For screening of aspiration, the chest expansion score at the 10th rib level and maximum phonation time (MPT) was useful.
