Relationship between obstructive lung disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in the Korean population: Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2007–2010
International Journal of COPD Sep 04, 2018
Moon SW, et al. - Experts gauged the association between obstructive lung disease (OLD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in the Korean population. Findings suggested an association between NAFLD and OLD, and that clinicians should be mindful of possible liver comorbidities in OLD patients and that extrahepatic disease in NAFLD patients may vary more than previously thought. Compared to the subjects in the non-NAFLD group, those in the NAFLD group had a higher tendency to have OLD, however, this tendency was not statistically significant.
