Ida S, et al. - Researchers analyzed evidence from eight studies (565,039 patients) to assess the link between frailty and mortality, hospitalization, and cardiovascular diseases in patients with diabetes. The studies included in this meta-analysis were identified from MEDLINE, Cochrane Controlled Trials Registry, and ClinicalTrials.gov. The eligible studies were those that reported on the aforementioned link and included hazard ratios, odds ratios, and 95% confidence intervals. Findings revealed a significant link between frailty and mortality and hospitalization in patients with diabetes., though further examination is needed.
