Frikha Z, et al. - Higher serum bilirubin has been associated with poorer prognosis in patients with heart failure (HF). In this study including acute myocardial infarction (MI) patients complicated with HF and/or systolic dysfunction, it was shown that serum bilirubin concentration independently predicted mortality and could improve risk stratification among study participants.
