Shulman E, et al. - Herein, researchers assessed the interaction between body mass index (BMI) and race/ethnicity with the risk of atrial fibrillation (AF). They observed an association between obesity and race/ethnicity for the development of AF. Notably, a higher risk to develop AF was noted among non-Hispanic whites vs blacks and Hispanics.
