Regulatory T-cell levels in systemic lupus erythematosus patients: A meta-analysis
Lupus Feb 17, 2019
Zhu Y, et al. - Authors studied EMBASE and PubMed databases to quantify the correlation between peripheral blood regulatory T-cells (Tregs) and disease status in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) cases. They found significantly lower Treg/PBMC and Treg/CD4+T-cell ratios in SLE subjects as compared to healthy controls (HCs). Candidates with active and inactive SLE presented no variation in these indicators. They noticed much lower Treg/PBMC ratio among subjects defined by CD4+CD25+Foxp3+, CD4+CD25+ and CD4+Foxp3+ than HCs.
