Fan X, et al. - The authors aimed to assess the anatomical specificity of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) expression in glioblastomas by using voxel-based neuroimaging analysis. In this work, high MMP-9 expression was associated with smaller tumour volume. Furthermore, a cluster located at the right frontal lobe was correlated with high MMP-9 expression. In glioma, a new correlation between tumour specific molecular changes and MRI imaging features had been demonstrated.
