McNamara LA, et al. – This study assessed the impact of pertussis vaccination on disease severity in persons with age–appropriate pertussis vaccination. Observations revealed less frequent occurrence of serious pertussis symptoms and complications among these individuals, demonstrating that the positive impact of pertussis vaccination extends beyond decreasing risk of disease.
