Recurrence rate and overall survival of operated ruptured hepatocellular carcinomas
European Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Jun 07, 2018
Joliat GR, et al. - Researchers evaluated recurrence rate (RR), time to recurrence, and overall survival (OS) of operated ruptured hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC). Between 1999 to 2015, all operated patients with HCC were reviewed, and patient demographics, perioperative details, and postoperative outcomes of ruptured HCC were recorded. They compared RR and OS of ruptured and non-ruptured HCC for this analysis. It was observed that RR between ruptured and non-ruptured HCC were similar, and that HCC rupture did not impair OS vs HCC without rupture.
