Ram E, et al. - Researchers here reported the real-life characteristics and outcomes of patients who undergo percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) vs coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for left main coronary artery disease. They noted that in left main coronary artery disease patients, clinical factors and a lower SYNTAX score affected the decision to perform PCI. As per findings, improved long-term survival was evident with CABG compared to PCI in patients with left main coronary artery disease after adjustment for those factors.
