Re-emergent tremor in Parkinson's disease: The effect of dopaminergic treatment
European Journal of Neurology Mar 18, 2018
Belvisi D, et al. - The intent of the authors was to contemplate the occurrence and the clinical features of re-emergent tremor (RET) in Parkinson's disease (PD) subjects tested off and on treatment. They also undertook a comparison of the effect of dopaminergic treatment on RET with the effect on resting and action tremor. It was inferred that the dopaminergic treatment modified RET occurrence, severity and body distribution. Findings illustrated that the dopaminergic depletion played a role in the pathophysiology of RET.
