Kurinami N, et al. - This trial was initiated in order to contemplate if bioelectrical impedance body composition analysis combined with blood test results could determine liver ectopic fat accumulation in patients with treatment-naïve type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). It was deduced that the muscle/fat ratio and ALT were beneficial for the estimation of the presence of excess liver fat accumulation in routine clinical practice.
