Randomized controlled trial to evaluate an internet-based self-management program in systemic sclerosis
Arthritis Care & Research Feb 09, 2019
Khanna D, et al. - In this 16-week randomized, controlled trial, authors estimated 267 candidates to analyze the efficacy of an Internet-based self-management program vs a patient-focused educational book in systemic sclerosis (SSc) (mean ± SD disease duration after diagnosis of SSc was 8.97 ± 8.50 years). No significant variations were observed between the 2 groups in terms of primary outcome measure and secondary outcome measures, except the EuroQol 5-domain instrument visual analog scale score. They noticed that the candidates were enthusiastic regarding the content and performance of the self-management website.
