Bushinsky DA, et al. - This study entailed an assessment of TRC101, a novel, sodium-free, nonabsorbed hydrochloric acid binder, with respect to its efficacy and safety in increasing serum bicarbonate in patients with CKD and metabolic acidosis. Findings demonstrated that TRC101 afforded a safe and significant rise in the level of serum bicarbonate in patients with metabolic acidosis and CKD.
