Randomized controlled trial of Amigo robotically controlled vs manually controlled ablation of the cavo-tricuspid isthmus using a contact force ablation catheter
Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology Feb 23, 2018
Hoffmayer KS, et al. - This investigation was pursued to assess the safety and efficacy of the Amigo Remote Catheter System (RCS) vs manual catheter manipulation, during cavo-tricuspid isthmus (CTI) ablation for atrial flutter (AFL). Fewer acute recurrences of CTI conduction and a trend toward higher force time integral (FTI) were noted in patients who underwent robotically controlled CTI ablation vs those who underwent manually controlled CTI ablation. The longer fluoroscopy time during robotically controlled ablation was likely due to a steep learning curve.
