Hildebrandt T, et al. - The physicians investigated the initial efficacy of Noom Monitor, a smartphone application designed to facilitate guided self-help treatments based on cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT-GSH + Noom), on study retention, adherence, and eating disorder symptoms compared to traditional CBT-GSH. For the treatment of binge eating, smartphone applications appeared to have advantages for adherence, a critical component of treatment dissemination.
