Hanna MA, et al. – A randomized controlled trial comparing epidural analgesia (EA) versus intravenous analgesia (IV) after minimally invasive surgery (MIS) colorectal surgery was designed. As per findings, EA proved to have no added clinical benefit in patients undergoing minimally invasive colorectal surgery. A trend towards higher total narcotics use and complications with EA was demonstrated.
